    Seamless Gutters

    Seamless Gutters
Our seamless gutter is formed from a coil of sheet metal, available in aluminum, steel, or copper, that is run through our gutter machine. The machine has rollers inside that form the coil into a seamless gutter. This allows us to cut the gutter to any length required, minimizing seams that tend to leak over time.

We also cut every mitre (corner) by hand rather than using prefabricated corners or strip mitres. By doing this, the gutter looks cleaner, has fewer leaks, and saves you money in the long run.

    Seamless Gutters
Seamless gutters have become the standard for gutter systems over the years. They offer the ability to be water-tight and not rely on sealant on every seam to keep them from leaking. Since they have fewer seams, they are also a much more resilient product than its predecessor.

They are available in many different materials: copper, aluminum, and galvanized steel―with many color options to suit your needs.

    FAQs

    Why Do My Gutters Overflow?

Gutter overflow is typically caused by blockages in the gutter or downspout, preventing water from flowing freely. Another common issue is improper gutter slope, which causes water to pool and overflow. Additionally, if gutters are not properly positioned beneath the drip edge, water can spill over the top of the gutters, especially in cases of sagging roofs or older homes that lack a drip edge. Lastly, insufficient downspouts can’t handle the volume of water, resulting in overflow as well.

How Many Downspouts Do I Need?

A general rule of thumb is that a gutter system requires one downspout every 40 feet. However, the number of downspouts also depends on the size of the roof and the amount of water being drained. Larger roofs or areas with heavy rainfall may require additional downspouts or a larger gutter system.

How Often Should I Clean My Gutters?

It’s recommended to clean and inspect your gutters at least twice a year—typically in the spring and fall. However, homes with heavy tree coverage may need more frequent cleaning.

What Materials Are Available for Gutters?

Aluminum is the most commonly used material for gutters, and it comes in a wide variety of colors. Be sure to ask one of our experts about the color options available for your gutter system.

How Does Storm Exteriors Attach the New Gutters?

Older gutter systems were typically secured with spikes and ferrules, which could loosen or pull out under heavy snow or ice. Today, we use modern clips that securely attach the gutter to the fascia board. These clips hook into the front bevel of the gutter and are screwed into the fascia, providing a much more secure installation.

What Type of Leaf Guard System Do I Need?

We recommend ShurFlo leaf guard systems for optimal performance and value. Made from durable aluminum, it features tiny perforations that allow water to flow freely while keeping out most debris, including pine needles. It’s an effective and affordable solution for keeping your gutters clear and functional.  Let our team of experts help you in determining the best option for your leaf guard system.
